Batista takes a rose from the palace garden and gives it to the queen. The Major and his soldiers break into Batista’s room. Batista sees the soldiers and asks what is going on.

The Major said that they would put iron bars on the windows of the house. Batista realizes that Doria is getting suspicious and says that he will solve this spy problem immediately. When Ferrucci enters Florence, he notices the dead in the city. The dervish realizes that these people have died of the plague and warns his friends.

Hayreddin sets out with Luna to find the book Dervish wants, but someone attacks them with explosives.
